His father takes Dante to see a Luchador match when the tour comes to their town. At ringside Dante meets a well-dressed large man who has a tattoo on his left hand identical to a tattoo Dante’s Luchador idol El Toro has.

Dante asks the man about the tattoo and the man introduces himself as Victor Salazar then he reveals he was the original El Toro. Victor gives the excited boy a business card inviting him to come to Mexico City as soon as he turns 12 years old to attend Victors wrestling school. Dante exercises vigorously until his 12th birthday when he sends a letter to Victor Salazar to remind him of his offer to let Dante come to his wrestling School. Victor writes Dante’s father a letter and the arrangements are made and Dante travels to Mexico City to try out.

Dante succeeds and is granted entrance into the exclusive school. Victor trains Dante personally for several years until Dante is fully trained at age 18. Victor then acts as Dante’s manager and Dante is successful in joining the Central American Wrestling League where he must serve as a heel for some five years before being vended and given his formal character.

Dante is an excellent Luchador and when he is vended five years later the league gives him the character of El Toro. They allow El Toro to become champion but plan to allow a different Luchador to defeat him the next season. Dante goes to the president of the league and convinces him to try a different plan, one that may allow Dante to become famous enough to join the American owned Global Wrestling League. Later a deal is struck between the two leagues and Dante eventually becomes the World Heavyweight Champion for the Global Wrestling League which has merged with the Central American Wrestling League.

Now Luchadors are a regular feature on a global scale but El Toro is the most famous Luchador of them all with his five spectacular high flying finishing moves. After Victor’s death, El Toro’s body gives out and he retires.

He purchases the building Victor’s old wrestling school was in and reopens it, so he can train the next generation of Luchadors.
